COMING SOON...
What if a road could talk back? I've been working on something I can't stop thinking about — a Texoma landscape you can actually touch. Upholstered roads. Fabric wildflowers. A play space where toy cars drive through art. It started as a small piece at the Anna Community Library. It's about to become something much bigger. Launching on Kickstarter very soon. New Public Artwork - Sherman Bird Festival Sculpture
Sherman Painted Bunting |2026 Living Rainbow is a dual-sided Painted Bunting sculpture for the Sherman Cultural District's inaugural Bird Festival. This Texas Commission on the Arts-funded project celebrates the native and migratory birds of North Texas through innovative materials and traditional sculptural techniques. The piece contrasts the brilliant plumage of male Painted Buntings with the subtle beauty of females, using layered pigmented Pal Tiya and impasto techniques to explore how light, texture, and color create visual impact. Installation scheduled for Summer of 2026 at Sherman Cultural Player's children's theatre Theatricks as part of Sherman's growing public art collection. Inaugural Festival Date: May 16, 2026 Location: Sherman Cultural District, Sherman, TX |
